About Us

The Emory-Georgia Tech Healthcare Innovation Program (HIP) is an interactive network among members of the Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance (Georgia CTSA) that provides information, resources, and community connectivity to support and enhance innovation in healthcare services research, education, and programs.  Key topics include quality, cost and access to health services across the contexts of providers, payers, and recipients.

Presently, over 2,400 faculty, staff and students at Emory, Georgia Tech, Morehouse, and Georgia State University are engaged in healthcare innovation activities with Georgia CTSA partners, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), Grady Health System, the Atlanta VAMC, Kaiser-Permanente, the CDC, and the American Cancer Society.  These activities involve more than 1500 sponsored research projects (>$180M), 30 educational offerings, and 50 outreach/service programs, which together address most major topics in healthcare services.

The Healthcare Innovation Program is supported by the Emory University Woodruff Health Sciences Center, the Georgia Tech Research Office, and the Georgia CTSA.
